Read more Customer Reviews (23) I've read the info, I've seen the videos and I know the game If you are looking for the next video game to suck you in to another world and never let go, like Halo...this is it! It's not be first-person shooter like Halo, but don't let that stop you! The game is a third-person shooter being published by Microsoft and if all the hype is true, will remind you why the XBOX is the most powerful gaming machine in the world. Let me tell you the cool features. CONTROLS OF MULTIPLE PEOPLE: Rather than control one character like in Halo, you control a team of four commandos, each with their own skills. You use the skills and abilities of each commandos for certain tasks. Imagine using a highly skilled sniper that can take out an enemy in a single precise shot, then using the assault trooper to take on a platoon of troops, then finishing of the base with your demoltion specialist. TONS OF LEVELS: There will be six different exotic worlds, each with a unique environment, enemies and gameplay strategies. Gamers will learn how to best use the unique abilities of the commandos to survive in each world. MULTILAYER: My favorite part of Halo was the multiplayer. And just like Halo, Brute Force will have Co-op and deathmatch mulitplayer for up to four gamers. While in Halo you can only have two players in co-op now you can battle it out with up to three friends through the entire mission campaign. Each player can select which member of the squad to control, and jump in or out of the game at any time. Snipe the enemy from behind while squad-mates blaze forward with the heavy stuff. Or sneak ahead as the scout to decide how to instruct teammates to fight with optimal tactics. Also, friends can battle it out against one another in a variety of deathmatch modes. WEAPONS AND EQUIPMENT: How does miniguns, Sonic Cannons, Stealth Suits, Sniper Rifles, and Psychic Blasts sound?, Each weapon is specifically designed to take advantage of certain enemies and environments. Like in Halo you must learn the strengths of each weapon to best exploit the weaknesses of your foe. AMAZING GRAPHICS and SOUND: If you thought you have seen gorgeous graphics, you haven't seen nothing yet. This game will blow you away. Not to mention the sound. Many games coming out for the XBOX support Dolby 5.1 surround and Brute Force is no exception. But Xbox has more going for it than fancy innards. The Xbox's Windows-based operating system is a breeze to program on, earning it grateful accolades from Electronic Arts, Infogrames, THQ, and other game producers. The less time developers spend struggling with the operating system means the more time they spend tweaking gameplay, which ultimately results in better games. And games are what it's all about. Well, games and the fun of owning a green-glowing game console that looks like it came from Darth Vader's living room.--Mike Fehlauer The Xbox Video Game System with Controller S includes the Xbox console, the popular "S" style Microsoft controller, and all necessary cables. A DVD kit (sold seperately) is required to access DVD playback ability. ... I happen to like this game, it is more arcady than simulation. Yes it has its flaws. I have also rented 3 other current baseball games, and still like this game better. The no franchise mode does stink but with the Xbox Live there is going to be downloadable content so...Graphics are nice, gameplay is nice. I think this is a fun game, before you believe anyones review I suggest renting. Not the greatest game I was really looking forward to buy this game from Microsoft, but I was really disappointed after I played for about 2 hours. Franchise mode is required in most games, but IP2003 doesn't provide one. The online part of the game is fun, but hitting is too easy. If you play with a friend to beat him you will have to throw a lot of balls to make him swing because if it goes near the plate it will be a hit. Graphics are nice. It is interesting to see your bench empty. It is nice to have your batter come up with its own song, and stats are pretty good. I wish they would show how many k's they have during the season though. Batting must be improved; it's too easy to just sing at the ball when it is in the right spot. I do not like the video when you hit a homerun, it is very plain, and there are only 4 or 5 videos to see, and you don't even see your player rounding all bases, just 2nd and home. Pitching isn't that bad, but you can't control how fast the ball goes. It is easy to switch batters and pitchers during the game. When you change a pitcher though, you don't see the pitcher come up to the mount or see the other pitcher leave the mount. The spectators are quiet most of the time, even when you get a homerun it doesn't seem that they scream louder or cheer. Microsoft has a lot, and I mean lot of room for improvement. Not a game to buy, just RENT. This is a fun game... First things first... don't listen to all the professional reviewers out there who are trashing this game. In my mind there are three things that make a great game: 1) Solid gameplay 2) Excellent graphics 3) Fun And most importantly, this game is fun to play. Isn't that what really counts? My biggest complaints are 1) no instant replays 2) no way to save games in progress. I'm sure these things will be added for Inside Pitch 2004. Bottom line, this is a very enjoyable game to play. I recommend it. ... Read more Customer Reviews (3) good enough but . . . The sense of speed is great, but you will either love or hate the "realistic" steering. There is no arcade steering option so you will have to make carefully plotted turns and adjust your bike's engine to win races. But more importantly, the graphics are a bit plain, with lots of stuff in the far distant background of the track. The bike models look great but you won't see much of them on the track after the first lap. You are basically driving for the best time, with the other bikers in front or behind you in the distance. It makes for a somewhat sterile racing experience. WOE! Man are these graphics AMAZING! They are unreal! Dont be confused by the name though, this is NOT the same version as the PS2 one. This is made by THQ and the PS2 one is made by NAMCO. But Trust me...THIS ONE IS WAY BETTER. I played MOTO GP 1 and the Xbox Live online demo of Moto GP 1, and the OXM demo of MOTO GP 2. And playing this one with its great graphics and gameplay and playing the first one online, I can personly say that MOTO GP 2 on Xbox AND on the INTERNET is PERFECT COMBO! It cant get any better! A must have for any racing fan - motorcycle or not Let me start off by saying that I have been a long-time gamer from the days of 286 PCs and 8-bit Nintendos and am usually critical of most games out today. I don't write a lot of game reviews unless I think a game deserves special attention so more people can become aware of it and support developers who create such quality games. I believe MotoGP 2 is one of them. Even though I consider myself a car racing fan, this title has to be (or very very very close to being) the best racing game for the Xbox, and belive me it has plenty of competition. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
